Some of you may have heard of these, some of you may not but on Thursday and Saturday nights Typhoon Lagoon Glows!!!
This is a separate ticket event, from 30th May to 24th August and costs $59 a person.
The party is very 80s, themed to Toy Story with Rex assisting the DJ on the stage on the beach.
There were 2 meet and greets we could do, Buzz Lightyear and Woody and Jessie. Had we been annual pass holders we could have also gone to a meet and greet with Bo Peep.
Fun inflatables such as flamingos, parrots and dragons were added to the lazy river, wait times for the water rides were pretty non existent which was great. It was so quiet, that we pretty much walked onto Miss Adventure Falls…. Twice!!
On a Saturday the park doesn’t close for daytime guests till 8pm, while on Thursdays it closes at 6pm. We went on a Saturday and could get in from 6pm, the DJ really kicked the party off about 8:45pm, it went on till 11pm.
Dancing on the beach in swimwear wearing glow bands was a new experience, and one I’d definitely do again, after all when you are on holiday those people around you will never see you again so who cares what you look like.
There were special food and drink options just for the event and a few merchandise items you could buy, we didn’t bother with the merchandise but did sample the food and drink offerings.
For me I would say this is definitely worth the money, being in the water park at night is a totally different experience and the lack of wait times is fab.
Now it’s time to go and do some shopping, Disney Springs style……. TTFN, Titch.
