Hey Everybody… Beans here. Apologies for the slight delay in posts, but this has been caused by 2 things. One; we’ve been having too much fun and Two; doing this on an iPad touch screen is frustrating. I must get a keyboard!

Right, now the excuses are out of the way, let’s have a quick recap on the last few days. It won’t be very long, as I should’ve written this last night and we’ve got fastpasses soon!

Following on from Titch’s last post about my birthday, we’ve been to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, Epcot a second time and Blizzard Beach. Let’s talk about the first of these… MAGIC KINGDOM!

The first day in Magic Kingdom is always a special one… Whilst other Disney parks may have newer rides, or different experiences, nothing quite matches that moment as you clear bag check and walk under the station to catch your first glimpse of Cinderella’s castle. There’s no bigger buzz for a Disnerd than that moment.

Once in Magic Kingdom, we headed straight for the Fire House to start a new game of Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. If you’ve never played, but you’ve visited Magic Kingdom before, I’d thoroughly recommend it! We’ll do a more in depth post about it on Sunday when we have another free day!

Titch checking for our next gate!

After collecting cards (and getting some free for my birthday) we headed into Liberty Square for our very first fastpass of the day; The Haunted Mansion! This probably qualifies as both mine and Titch’s favourite ride in MK, it’s usually one of the first fastpasses we book. This was followed by some Sorcerers, which largely takes place in Fantasyland, Frontierland, and Liberty Square. Following a few stages of that, we headed into Peter Pans flight. Whilst an older ride, it’s still worth a fastpass. The wait time was up to 75 minutes, and it was only 10:30!

Following Peter Pans flight, we wandered back down into the edge of Frontierland, to find our next stop for Sorcerers. This worked well as our next fastpass was for Pirates of the Caribbean, and also takes you very close to Aloha Isle! We’d already ordered our Dole Whip float using mobile order, so collected them and found somewhere shady to sit to enjoy the pineappley goodness!

Is there anything better than a Dole Whip?

After the refreshing break, we dived into The Enchanted Tiki Room which is another attraction we’ve never seen before. Whilst it’s showing it’s age, it was thoroughly enjoyable. After this we popped around the corner to Pirates of the Caribbean for our boat trip to try and find Cap’n Jack!

Following our boat ride, we decided it was time for some food. As Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe was nearby, we opened the My Disney Experience app and placed our order. A few minutes later our food was ready for collection. We found a shady spot outside and decided that after food, we’d head back to the resort for a chill in the pool and head out in the evening.

Once we’d refreshed and refuelled we headed into Magic Kingdom again. It was to be a quiet evening, with a few rides around Tomorrowland. We did manage to catch a little of the Happily Ever After fireworks…

After that little treat, we headed for one of my favourite rides… Buzz Lightyears SpaceRanger Spin. I still didn’t manage to get to my highest score, but up in the 500,000 range is good for an early attempt.

From here, we went for a little relax on the People Mover. This is always fun, particularly when Space Mountain is Running and you can here the coaster overhead. Following on from the People Mover, we visited Walt’s Carousel of Progress! This yet another attraction that we’ve not been on before and thought it was really very well executed. Some of the future predictions are getting a little to close home… Speaking to your smart house to control lights and appliances and VR headset video games are all realities now.

After that, we had a leisurely walk back out of the park and monorail home. I’ll update the next few days soon

Laters, Beans.
