Rest Day Three – Club Wyndham Tour

Knowing my birthday was likely to be tiring we had planned on an easy day today before we even set off to Disney, which is why we had agreed to do the Club Wyndham Tour at Bonnet Creek today.

The hotel complex looked lovely from the outside, we went in and checked in. We were then met by our host, who showed us to a conference room.

Once inside we sat through a nearly hour and a half presentation on how amazing buying into Club Wyndham was. After the presentation we were shown around the resort and showed some example rooms we could stay in if we signed up.

Now, things went south. We were sat down and asked if we wanted to sign up. We explained that as nice as it all looked we couldn’t commit the kind of money they were asking for then and there. Our host then got very pushy, she did not want to take no for an answer and could not seem to understand we didn’t want to commit. She keep on repeating herself and wouldn’t listen to what we were saying.

After about 15 minutes of this she asked us to wait a few minutes, saying she would be back shortly. We were about to get up and leave, having decided we didn’t care about the $40 deposit we were meant to get back or the Disney gift card we were meant to get for attending, when we were approached by another staff member who asked if she could get some feedback from us, so we went with her.

We explained to this lady what had happened and how upsetting it actually was, she wrote it down, then decided to see if we wanted to try an offer period where you payed a lot less up front to see if you wanted to commit long term.
We declined, and were given a slip to take to their admin area for our refund and gift card.

We were so glad to get out of there.

On a previous Walt Disney World trip we had looked at the Disney Vacation Club and they were so laid back, we couldn’t believe the difference.

We decided to go and have a look around the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets, as there were a few shops there we wanted to have a look at, including Disney’s Character Warehouse.

After that we just went back to hotel and relaxed.
