It’s our final park day today, and we decided we had to finish at Magic Kingdom. We parked at the Magic Kingdom parking lot and caught our last parking tram to the Transportation and Ticket Centre where we took the monorail to the park entrance.

One of the first things we saw were the Dapper Dans performing on Main Street so we decided to watch them for a bit.

Our first ride of the day was Pirates of the Caribbean, swiftly followed by Splash Mountain. We are both so happy to get to ride Splash Mountain one last time, it is closing for good in two days – 21st January, and then it’s replacement Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will begin to be created.

From there it was a walk around to Haunted Mansion as I needed to ride it once more before we left. I hate leaving the Grim Grinning Ghosts behind.

Now it was time to head to Tomorrowland, as we both wanted to go on Buzz Lighryear’s Space Ranger Spin. Now the aim here is to defeat Emperor Zurg by shooting targets. If you get the top score you become a Galactic Hero.

We weren’t even half way through the ride when Beans hit this magical number – 999,999, by the ride end I had managed to score a whooping 13,900

On existing the ride we went into the gift shop, Beans went up to the counter and we showed the evidence he had got the top score. His prize for doing so was a Galactic Hero sticker.

To get over his excitement we decided to go for a ride on the People Mover, this relaxing ride takes you around Tomorrowland, going into some of the ride buildings and giving you a nice view of the land. While on our ride we saw the Tron ride on some of its test runs, this ride is opening later this year.

Once we finished on the People Mover we queued for Astro Orbiter. You queue at ground level then when it’s your turn you take an elevator up to the ride floor. Unfortunately, once on the ride floor and waiting to get on the ride it malfunctioned to they had to close it, so we went back down in the elevator to exit.

We fancied one final ride on Jungle Cruise, which had now returned to its non festive theming so we headed over. Our boat for this cruise was Wamba Wanda. Our skipper, like all the skippers, really made our cruise.

We suddenly realised we hadn’t get had one of our favourite things in Magic Kingdom – a Dole Whip. Beans had the traditional Pineapple Float – Dole Pineapple juice served with a choice of pineapple Dole Whip, vanilla Dole Whip or swirl, while I went for the Pierre Mon Ami Float – blueberry and vanilla swirled soft-serve pineapple float garnished with a red feather. Completely delicious.

As it was our final night, we had booked to do something a bit special. We had booked the Disney Enchantment Treats and Seats Fireworks Dessert Party, based at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant.
Being able to watch Disney Enchantment while drinking champagne and eating puddings and cheese was amazing. Our seats were perfect, we had such a good view. This is definitely something I would recommend doing.

As we were heading towards the park exit we suddenly realised we hadn’t met the main man in Magic Kingdom so we headed to Town Square Theatre to meet The Master Magician Mickey Mouse. The pictures here are automated rather than a cast member taking pictures with a camera.

Our final monorail ride was on monorail lime, which took us back to the Transportation and Ticket Centre where we caught a tram back to the car.
