We got up decided we wanted to start the day doing something we hadn’t done before which was Monorail to Epcot. We drove to the Magic Kingdom Parking lot and at the Transportation and Ticket Centre we went up the Epcot Monorail slope. Our Monorail for our journey to Epcot was Monorail Gold which has a 50th Anniversary overlay.

As seems to be the new normal. On getting to Epcot we headed to The Land to ride Soarin’ Around The World for what would be the last time this holiday. I think if Beans had his way we would just do it on repeat.

After exiting The Land we headed to Journey Into Imagination With Figment. The wait time for this is usually always low, and today was no exception, it was a walk on. This ride teaches you about the senses and imagination. And it contains Figment, so it gets my vote.

We decided to look at some of the art in the event tents on our way to Mission Space, where we joined the Orange mission. It was only Beans and I in our mission pod.

Feeling peckish we stopped at Moderne, one of the food booths, where Beans got the pan-seared scallops with vanilla-butternut squash purée, brown butter cauliflower purée and lime foam, which got us the first Festival of the Arts Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine stamps.

From there we walked to Figment’s Inspiration Station at the Odyssey where I got the second stamp by getting the Pop’t Art: Sugar cookie with blueberry filling and for good measure I also got the Grape smoothie with freeze dried Skittles bite sized candies.

Now it was time for our purchased Individual Lightning Lane for Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. Before checking in Beans asked the cast members what it was like, explaining he wasn’t good with rides that were jerky, they explained it was super smooth so we checked in.

Unfortunately the crowds in the pre-show rooms was too much for Beans so he ended up exiting when we got to the point you get assigned your ride row so I got to ride it alone.
I absolutely loved it, the backwards launch was super cool, and I spent the whole ride singing loudly to Blonde – One Way Or Another.

We decided to go and check out the Chalk Art on the main walkway to World Showcase. The artwork was exceptional, especially as it was all in chalk. There was even a chalk art picture you could become part of!

Next up was finishing off the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine, at Deco Delights I got the Orange Mousse with lemon cake and raspberry meringues, while Beans went to The Deconstructed Dish and had the Deconstructed key lime pie: flexible key lime curd, key lime mousse, graham cracker cake and meringues.

To get the final stamp we headed to Vibrante & Vivido: Encanto Cocina where we shared the Chorizo and potato empanada with turmeric aioli and annatto aioli.

Having got all five stamps I went back to Deco Delights where I goy my reward – the Artist Palette Cookie and special drink in a souvenir cup.

Even though it wasn’t quite 7pm we decided to find a spot ready for Harmonious, which started at 9pm. We found a stone bench between Japan and America and sat down ready. We took it in turns to go and get drinks and Beans got the customary Disney Turkey Leg.

From our seat we got to watch Spaceship Earth going through all its different light animations, it was so pretty and magical.

At 8:45pm the torch’s were lit and you could hear the buzz of the excitement start up, ready for Harmonious to start.

Harmonious is one show that has had a lot of bad press, a lot of people really don’t like the barges they created for this show, which okay aren’t the most photogenic during the day but at nighttime for Harmonious they come alive. This show was out of this world. The music, projection and fireworks were spectacular. I for one am sad to see this show go, which is due to happen soon.

Heading back to the front of the park after the show we stopped for another light beam picture, before heading back up the monorail ramp to get the monorail back to the Transportation and Ticket centre and the car.
