It’s our eleventh day here so time for another break, especially as tomorrow is going to be a big day of celebration – my birthday.

Talking of Celebration, today we went to the town of Celebration. On Facebook I follow a page called Mouse Marketplace. They also have a website – mousemarketplace.com

How you receive your package

Mouse Marketplace is run by an amazing guy called Bonnie, his team and him create magic. They do Disney themed apparel, and have themed drops most weeks. They also do custom resort baskets, which they deliver to on property hotels.

Now the downside (it’s probably a good thing for my wallet), they don’t ship to the UK, only the US. They posted about a Festival of the Arts drop a few weeks prior to us going to Florida, I commented to say I was gutted they didn’t ship to the UK as I was going to be at Epcot for the first day of Festival of the Arts (tomorrow) and would love to have worn the tee they were releasing. I got a reply saying if I emailed them, Tina would sort it so I could pick it up at their headquarters while I was there. I emailed and it was all arranged, invoice sent to me which I paid and all was set.

I was given the mobile number for Justin, who would be at headquarters, and text to arrange a pick up time. So Celebration bound we went. On route we drove past a pylon that looked like Mickey.

Headquarters was super easy to find, they had their logo in the window. Justin was super friendly, and had a gorgeous dog with him. I collected my tee and couldn’t wait to open it in the car. Found out afterwards I’d missed Bonnie by about 10 minutes.

Headquarters

The town of Celebration is really pretty, the houses look lovely, and lots were decorated with hearts, I assume early preparation for Valentines, there is a big water tower, a lake and water fountains kids were playing in.

We then decided to head to Disney Springs, which meant driving through the welcoming Walt Disney World arch, and past the entrance to Typhoon Lagoon.

After parking in our usual Orange Garage, our first stop was the bar at the Coke store at Disney Springs, where I had a Winter Flurry Punch – Fanta Pineapple, Sprite, blue curacao, lemon and rock candy – delicious.

Once refreshed we thought we would have a walk around, and thought we would have a look in Gideon’s Bakehouse, however the queue was huge, around a two hour wait, so we decided to skip it.

We decided we were slightly peckish so stopped at Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar, which we both really like. Being a cocktail fan I ordered a Wrong Island! – Siesta Key Silver Rum, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, St. Augustine Gin, Tippler’s Orange Liqueur, and Sweet-and-Sour with a splash of Coca-Cola – yummy. Beans ordered a Bold City Brewery Duke’s Cold Nose Brown Ale, from Jacksonville. He said it was very nice.

Food wise we ordered one of each of the Tanis Tacos – Adobo Chicken Tacos (for me), Tacos Al Pastor (to share) and Tuna Poke Tacos (Beans). Both of us agreed they were super tasty, we would definitely have again.

The Adobo Chicken Tacos contain Adobo-braised Chicken, Pico de Gallo, Queso Fresco, Lime Crema, Jalapeño, Red Cabbage, Grilled Corn Tortilla.

The Tacos Al Pastor contain Citrus-Chipotle Pork Belly, Pineapple Pico de Gallo, Red Cabbage, Grilled Corn Tortilla.

The Tuna Poke Tacos contain Ahi Tuna, Pineapple Pico de Gallo, Sriracha Aioli, Watermelon radish, Red Cabbage, Grilled Corn Tortilla.

Beans had to pay a visit to one of his favourite shops at Disney Springs – Chapel Hats – for a try on of a few hats and we had a look around in Ron Jon Surf Shop, which wasn’t here when we have been previously. We also had a look around some of the other shops including World of Disney, which is huge.

Our final stop was Ever After Jewelry Co. & Accessories where I was treated to a gorgeous Disney Stitch Citizen Watch as a birthday present. This is one watch that will be looked after very well, it’s stunning.

After that it was back to the hotel where we ordered food for delivery, then bed.
