After a bit of a lie in we headed to Magic Kingdom. Today we decided to get the monorail to the park from the Transportation and Ticket Centre.

As we entered the park we took a picture of the Lady and the Tramp 50th anniversary statues, then noticed cast members were directing people so we guessed some kind of Parade must be about to happen. We found a spot on Main Street and got ready to watch.

As we waited dancers in teal, blue and purple could be seen coming down the top of Main Street followed by a float. In actual fact there were two floats, the first had Minnie, Pluto and Goofy on board, the second had Mickey, Donald, Daisy, Chip and Dale on board. All were in their 50th Anniversary outfits as this was Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade.

We then carried on up Main Street and took pictures of the Mickey, Minnie, Dumbo, Pluto, Goofy, Donald, Daisy and Chip and Dale 50th statues and I found a place in front of the castle stage to watch Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire.

This includes Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy, along with dancers. During the show they are joined by Tiana, Prince Naveen and Louis, Rapunzel, Flynn and some of the Snuggly Duckling crew, and Olaf, Anna and Elsa. There are some fireworks at the end of the show.

We walked around the castle towards The Hall of Presidents and sat on a bench outside. Deciding we were hungry we checked the My Disney Experience app and saw we could use mobile order from Sleepy Hollow which was next door, so I ordered Corn dogs with crisps and drinks. Beans had his usual Coke, I went for the special Haunted Mansion drink, which came with a paper straw with the wallpaper design on it.

Once we had eaten we noticed it was time for the Festival of Fantasy Parade, so we literally turned round, and had a fantastic view. I have always wanted to be picked to be the family that lead the Parade.

This parade is definitely a must see, the floats are so colourful and magical. Multiple characters are either on the floats or walking in the parade, there are dancers, and Maleficent as a dragon, who actually breathes fire.

Having waited for the parade crowds to disperse we walked passed the Rapunzel themed toilets (sadly there is one ride featuring Rapunzel) into Fantasyland. Our first stop was Peter Pan’s Flight, where you ride a flying ship over London and Neverland.

Next stop was It’s a Small World, where you boat a boat and traverse around the world. This ride is full of animatronics, amazing colours and a song that you will ever love or hate. Either way it will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

Deciding it was time for a bit on air con and a show we headed to Mickey’s PhilharMagic, dubbed The Kingdoms Most Magical Musical Revue. This 3D movie musical stars many favourite Disney characters.

Walking round Prince Charming Regal Carrousel we then went to Princess Fairytale Hall where we met Tiana and Rapunzel. On exiting we saw Anastasia and Drizella were just behind the castle so went over to take a picture. Sadly they were just finishing their meet and greet so didn’t get to get a picture with them.

Having headed back round to Liberty Square we then got to watch Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, this included Pixar characters, different princesses, and lots of animal characters. As well as others.

Finally it was time for my favourite ride at Walt Disney World – Haunted Mansion. I had decided to be nice to Beans and save it till later in the day. I was wearing a pair of ears I had made which were Mansion themed for my birthday, so made sure to get a Mansion picture wearing those.

We decided to head to the Polynesian Village Resort as I had always wanted to try Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto so we grabbed the resort monorail and headed there. However on arrival we were informed the wait was at least 3 hours so we decided to skip it, got back on the monorail and headed to to Transportation and Ticket Centre to go back to our hotel.
