We got up later than planned having originally said we would rope drop. So it was mid-morning by the time we headed to Epcot.

To start the day in Beans favourite way our first stop once in the park was Soarin’ Around The World. To show his love for the ride Beans had on his Soarin’ tee.

While queuing we were stood behind a family of 5, mum, dad and 3 young boys. When of the boys pointed out Beans tee to his mum and said that man has the ride on his top, to which the mum replied he must really like the ride. Beans then answered saying it was his favourite ride in all of Disney.
Chatting to the family we found out the boys had been on Big Thunder Mountain the previous day and it had terrified them so they were now scared to go on any rides. Beans explained how gentle Soarin’ was and how he didn’t like rides like Big Thunder either.

Beans suggested which row to ask for so the family didn’t go up quite so high and all was looking good. Once in the assigned rows one of the boys ran off, the dad brought him back just before the doors opened to board.

On completion of our flight we waited in the exit corridor to see how the family had gotten on. The boys loved it and wanted to go again. The parents thanked us for helping make it easier for their kids.

We decided our next stop was the new Creations shop and Club Cool. The new shop is huge, very bright and well laid out. While it was busy you still had room to move.

Now a trip to Epcot has to include a visit to Club Cool, which is a Coca-cola shop with flavours from around the world you can sample. The famously talked about soda which most people hate is Beverly, from Italy. I personally like it. It is always fun to watch people’s reactions when they try that first bitter sip.

Next up on our list of rides to do was Mission Space. We walked via the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride area to have a look at what that looked like then carried on to Mission Space. Once their you can choice one of two missions – Green – mission to the moon and much gentler, or Orange – mission to the moon, and definitely not gentle, you get to experience real G-force. We opted for Orange. I felt the effects more than I have ever done so in the past and felt a bit wobbly on getting out.

We were both starting to feel hungry and looking on the app Beans noticed we could join the walk up queue for Garden Grill so we tried to do that, but we’re apparently too far away. We decided to walk towards it via The Seas with Nemo and friends, because who can resist sea creatures, and it kept telling up we were still to far away.

On arriving at The Land Pavilion and getting inside the walk up queue option disappeared. We walked to the check in counter and they said they had stopped for the day. We sat at the benches nearby to look at other options and the walk up option returned with a 55 minute wait, so we joined and decided to stay where we were. Within 5 minutes we were called to be shown to our table.

Garden Grill is a rotating restaurant with characters. The food is home style and is a set menu which is brought to your table. Drink wise I decided on the EARidescent Sip-a-Bration – Minute Maid premium lemonade with fruity strawberry punch in a 50th celebration glass. Sitting on the rim of my glass was a blue Minnie shaped head, on placing this in my drink and giving it a stir my drink turned iridescent blue – magic.

Once we had finished our lunch we decided to head towards World Showcase as we had a Genie+ booked for Frozen Ever After in the Norway Pavilion.

On our way there we saw Winnie The Pooh trying to catch butterflies with his net, and we interacted with the 50th celebration statues. We had a quick look in Port of Entry then headed round to Norway.

Just past the Mexican Pavilion (my favourite Pavilion) we came across the meet and greet with Mexican Donald so we joined the queue because who can resist Mexican Donald.

We got to Norway and were quickly inside the Pavilion waiting for the ride. Frozen Ever After replaced Maelstrom, but still uses the same ride mechanics, all that is different is the theming, if you love Frozen you will absolutely love this ride, it’s so good. And you get to see Marshmellow.

Both feeling a bit tired still from travelling we decided to head out, with a stop to ride Spaceship Earth on the way, because you have to take a ride in the iconic globe.

Back at the hotel, we ordered food delivered to the hotel and crashed out.
