So after a few years of not blogging we are back.

The Christmas trip we had planned for DLP in 2020 didn’t happen due to Covid, with our February 2020 trip paving the way for the park to close. While there in the February we commented a few times that it looked like they were getting prepared to do something due to Covid, I don’t think we really thought that would mean park closure, and even it it did a park closure for so long.

It originally closed on 13th March 2020 and reopened on 15th July 2020. Sadly it didn’t stay open for long with it closing again 30th October 2020 and not reopening until 17th June 2021. At one point all Disney parks in the world were closed, with Shanghai and Hong Kong being the hardest hit, with many closures during the pandemic.

Thankfully DLP did re-open and we made a trip over 28th April-3rd May 2022 to celebrate the 30th Anniversary, I will do a blog about that trip soon.
We also went to Walt Disney World in January this year for 18 nights, again a blog on that trip will be coming.

While we stopped blogging due to Covid, work and life commitments, our Disney love grew and grew and we are now more determined than every to do something with Disnerdy.co.uk.

We have got more tech savvy, and updated our equipment. We started to do reels on our Instagram page on our WDW trip. We are looking to do vlogs and post news updates. We have also given planning advise to people and trip suggestions, and are always willing to help anyone plan their most magical trip.

I guess unsurprisingly for us we do have another trip planned, we are going to DLP in May, however this trip is going to be different for us, for the first time in forever it’s not going to be just us, my mum and my 9 year old nephew are coming too. Making plans for a trip that includes other people has definitely felt different and I’ve loved it.
We booked it as a surprise for my nephew, telling him just after Christmas with a big reveal. We made a ticket which we gave to him, and then gave him a trip bag. He is a big Marvel fan so we got him an Avengers drawstring bag, inside we put some Spider-Man ears, a Spider-Man lanyard, a personalised Avengers autograph book, an Avengers first visit badge, Spider-Man tee, Thor tank top and a couple of other Marvel badges.

It will also be my mums first time so we also got her a Princess first visit badge and some ears.

Cannot wait to blog while we are there for that trip, and to see my mum and nephews reactions, it feels like an honour to be there for their first trip.
