After an overnight stay at Premier Inn Dover we boarded the P&O ferry Dover at 8:45 to arrive in Calais 11:15

We drove South through through France and arrived at Hotel New York The Art Of Marvel at 3pm

Checked in at the Empire State Club exclusive check-in, given Magic Passes and voucher for our Photopass.

Went up to room – 7223, and had a look around, slippers and robes hanging in the wardrobe, get to keep the slippers on departure.

Nice sized bathroom, toilet off to one side behind a glass partition, bath with shower over, complimentary shampoo, conditioner and shower gel secured to the wall, sink with soap, toothbrush and paste, comb and shaving kit.

Two king size beds, with a collectible Marvel card on one bed and a tin of Infinity sweets on the other. Small bench at the end of the beds, good for sitting on and putting shoes on.

Small table and chairs by the window. Chair at the long desk below the mirror/tv. Welcome message on tv.

We were informed at check-in we could go to the Empire State Lounge between 3:30 and 5:30 for afternoon tea, so we went down and had a small supply of sandwiches and desserts, as well as soft drinks.

By now just after 5pm, we decided to take a walk through Disney Village. There were still giant baubles from Christmas outside our hotel, themed to Marvel Superheroes.

Rosalie, the new brasserie, has opened and looks really nice. The Royal pub also looks lovely. The Village is undergoing a massive refurbishment so there were lots of walls up, and some shops were in temporary homes, such as Lego.

Entering Disneyland park was magical, both parks were lit up as it was getting dark. Walking down Main Street U.S.A. still elicits butterflies, seeing the castle glowing at the end is out of this world.

Then a little walk round to Frontierland for a quick ride on my all time favourite ride Phantom Manor.

Big Thunder Mountain is currently closed for refurbishment.

Walking back through the village we made a trip to World Of Disney and picked up the most gorgeous Tic and Tac, or as us non-French people call them Chip and Dale.

We had an 8:30 dinner reservation at Downtown, which still does amazing food, buffet style with lots of Marvel themed desserts.

After dinner we decided it was time to head up to our room for a good nights sleep before heading to the parks tomorrow.
